In this story,* New West posts a cool map showing where people have room to hang out downtown since the limits to where folks can sit and recline (Lie? Tell falsehoods? Lay? Whatever. Recline.) took effect. One man comments that a certain downtown block doesn’t have room for even one rear end.
Early reviews* were mixed after the first ordinance related to panhandling took effect. The laws came about because shop owners got tired of cleaning up crude in front of their doorways and hearing from customers driven away by panhandlers. The rules intend to help storefronts stay inviting and help panhandlers stay docile. The police chief has said next summer will be a good test of the laws.
