Keep it Simple, Sluggers.
“It’s starting to dawn on more people that the best cure for homelessness* is shockingly simple: provide the homeless with a home.”
The citiwire.net piece @mtjw also notes Seattle is saving $4 million a year by doing just that with its 1811 Eastgate project.
Eleven million to build. Sleeping 75.

Whoda thunkit? Perhaps this will expose some holes in the American “work so you can have a home” paradigm (ie- that it should be reversed?).
One has to wonder if this will have any bearing on the future decisions of our wonderful Downtown Association and their lackeys in city gov’t, whatsit with their ominous sounding “downtown master plan” (*shudder*) and all.
Probably not.

I think the homeless should be sheltered at Ogren Park Allegiance field or whatever it’s officially called. It’s only used a few months of the year. Let the homeless stay there the rest of the year!
